    Losing my mind here over starting problems.

    Have you tried disconnecting the clutch switch and jumping it with a jumper lead I chased a no start on my bike where I heard the solinoid click when i pushed the starter button however it wouldn't start if I shorted the starter it did start though (even though the old clutch switch showed...

    Well thanks to Smithabusa and 202mphbusa for their helpful hints it was really that easy and 202 you were right even if one other wire is out by a little bit the white tab wouldn't go back in. Thanks again my mind is now at ease (at least on this matter)

    thanks Smithbusa, although I'm not sure what you mean by the white tab as I can't figure out how to take apart the casing of the connector. I will look at it as I'm going to the shope now try and work on it agian. richard

    I'm trying to put my 01 back on the road and mice have gotten in to eat some insulation at the ECM connector and I want to take the effected wire out and put shrink tube over the effected area does anyone know where i can get the proper tool to get the wire out. it's the 26 pin connector Thanks...
