this must be the cheapest way to convert to brembos I have ever seen (in a good way) those are the same calipers as on the 999 as you say, I have a 999 and they work great way way better than the busa. AGRAS at moto-works.jp have the adapters for radial calipers but they are like 400 or so $...

WD40 is good, but I did notice that it seems to get alot of dust/dirt to stick on where you've use it ??? so I usualy clean with a WD40 then wipe with a slightly damp cloth

I have one and very happy with it never had a problem, the 999 came out in 2003, in 2005 few changes were made to the cams, swing-arm etc, you need to make sure its been serviced regularly (once every 6k iles or every two years) and that involves valve adjustment and belts change as others...
