Flasher Relay

Hey guys,

A few months ago I bought the Lockhart Phillips Integrated Tailight. I installed it and it works perfect except that the blink rate is too fast. I purchased a flasher relay that will slow it down to correct speed but i have no idea where the existing one is located or what it looks like. Does anyone have any pics of its location or least where? Is it behind the left side fairing?
I appreciate anyones help on the matter...

On my 06 the flasher was integrated inside a sealed housing with another relay, I had to de-pin the two wires for the flasher and attach them to the new flasher and then attach to new flasher with zip ties to the bike.

Clear alternatives web site has information on installation of a electronic flasher with pictures showing you what to do.

Thanks dinoap, i thought thats where it was and had the left side fairing off yesterday to put in my screens from Postal and already put it back on. It will be the next thing i do.

I did the same ..just attach the two wires to a IDEAL flasher ($ 1.39) AND YOUR GOOD TO GO......

This is your turn signal/side-stand relay.

This is the flasher I used. Available from any auto parts store.

These are the wires that need to be cut. I left enough wire to rewire back to stock if needed.

Just a couple crimp connections for the flasher.

All done. Tuck the wires away and zip tie the flasher in place.

DO NOT CUT THE WIRES!!!!! Juse remove the pin from the connector and use a small connector to connect them together. This way you can always just unplug the flasher and plug the orignal wires back to the oem connector and be back to stock. It just takes a small point into the connector and a tug on the back of the wire to remove. I have done many and sold many of these flasher mods and never had to cut a wire.

I agree, I didn't cut the wires either. I used inline wire taps that clamped onto the wires.
