Hayabusa fuel problems...i think....

Kick stand???....never crossed my mind....but would that make it buck like a bronco????....shyt im willing to take a look at anything...cuz i got it looking the way i pictured it...i went left field and did things to it nobody would risk...so the last thing i want is it to start riding messed up. Its almost there though...im transitioning to cruiser so... Believe it or not i ride my busa to balance myself out....i ride it for the jughandles and corners as crazy as that might sound. I just started riding my first cruiser last july boulevard m109r....lovin it put 4k on it in less than 2 months...lol

My powder coater told me if i decided to use it the pads would wear the coat down so who knows...i probably will though...cuz im curious to see it

you mean when you have a choice of hitting the front or rear in surprise gravel (pa roads anyway), you choose the front?

When braking is necessary (emergency or otherwise) and you are leaned over in a corner, you apply the front brake? This stands the bike straight up in the air!

I never understood not using the rear brake at all..maybe not much..but some.

I dont brake in gravel..at all...i come off throttle same as in corner..i use the clutch to brake the engine...rear brake locks the tire then u have no traction...or even worse fish tailing...in traffic @ slow speeds...maybe....not in high speed turns and never in gravel...nooooo!!!!!

not what i mean. You come around a corner and there is a work truck stopped in front of you, gravel on the road. Happens on our favorite twisty road all the time. Youre going to engine brake to a stop? Nice knowing you...

Or how bout.. stopping in a gravel lot. You engine brake to a complete stop? Try grabbing some front brake in gravel.

oh man the hate is coming...do yourself a fav and get that **** off your rear rotor before you are flooded with 100 pm's ...the bike looks awesome but you have to have your brakes when you need them, and dont think for any moment a real rider doesnt use both brakes....what would you do if you busted a line on the front? now you can stop at all...you know have us all concerned for your safety, please fix it, so we dont have to loose another orgster..we worrie about our fellow riders

Listen guys powdercoating on the rotor doesnt mean the back brake will not work..u feather brakes u dont slam on them.....relax...i just powdercoated the wheels not even a few weeks...just because i use my front brakes doesnt mean i dont know how to use the back if i need to...i prefer to use the front...ive owned plenty of bikes and seen plenty of pavement...ive rode plenty of twisties to know what to do in different situations so please....the hate i dont need...the love i dont mind!!!...the "nice knowing u" comment i can do without. Momma always said if u dont have nothing nice to say dont say shyt!...i ride anything from a 600 up i dont care about cc's i dont care about size. If i wanna use my fronts (cuz i know how and most dont) so be it. Im not gonna keep going back and forth about braking cuz most people dont know how to to begin with. This thread was to ask for advice about fuel problems. I love all of yall and i appreciate the concern but the hate leave that on the outside. I take god with me everywhere i go and pray every night...life is my teacher!!!

Thanx dj i appreciate the input...but know where im coming from...u see the difference between concern and hate...some people dont know the difference..make it so bad homie hAsnt even offered me any input on my original issue..so that lets me know what im dealing with....lol...too many chiefs not enough indians

hey pal, I posted about your original issue on page 1...so if I am the "homie" you are referring to, you stand corrected.

As for hate, my original comment of "hows your rear rotor working" after I saw it covered in powdercoat caused you to try and make me feel dumb for using my rear brake.
eg:

I havent used them in about 7 years....you do ???

It WAS out of concern, not hate.

Good luck with your fuel issue.

Oh and believe it or not, despite me pointing out a safety hazard and disagreeing with you...I am a Christ follower. So please dont back down now and say peace and love im right im a christian. Ill tell you like I tell my sister, Id rather be hated by you but stand up for whats right then be loved and stand for nothing.

You mentioned that you put premium in right before the problem started. Gen I busa's require 87 octane and Gen II require 91+ Octane if I remember correctly. The Gen I is a lower compression engine which is why you put the 87 octane gas in it. I would drain the tank and start over with a good quality 87 octane gas.

I love the flat black on the Busa. It looks great!

Yep!!...u got it rashad aka "christ follower"...enjoy ur day i gotta go make the bread. Like i said not gonna go back and forth...your absolutely right as always...after i get married if i start running into relationship problems i will make sure i give u a call....you definitely got all the answers!!!!

Nick i put regular in before the problem started....i put the top gas in after i put the system cleaner in...which was stupid...but today i bought a tube and drained the tank....after i burn the residue out i will start from scratch and hopefully i get something....believe it or not on empty its riding a little better...but then again i havent broke 80...im riding close to the house in case the gas runs out and i have to walk it back...but i will keep u posted

Good lookin rush!! Friend of mine was tellin me it sounds like the fuel pump is going. I described to him that once i would get it past 70 or so ...i would start getting that stuttering and bucking...he says he has a tester that he uses on his gsxr 1000 08' that tells him the codes and exactly where the failure is. Id like to connect something to it to see whats wrong. That would save me time and money...but his bike is an 08 mine is an 02....what are u guys using to diagnose issues???

In wheel school you're taught to use both brakes. You use your rear brake to make tight turns, you throttle and brake at the same time, you don't want to use your front brakes.:rulez:
