Y'all should know it's easy to kunfuze us trumprerz
Especially when they are going to be felt in a negative way in your own economy......To me tariffs are like sanctions. Why have them against allies? There’s other not so heavy handed ways to stimulate American production. E

Thanks in large part to our policies.China's goal is to take over global dominance and they have been building their military and economic power to rival the US........
You and I both know that China sits back and builds.....and builds and builds......they are a patient people....so far they aren't out in the world starting wars or overtly meddling in other countries foreign policies......they are like crocodiles and lay in wait and build their resources........Prophets have predicted that one day "the yellow man will inherit the earth."Thanks in large part to our policies.
I'm glad we finally got someone with enough balls to try and reverse some of their power and influence.
The U.S. now has re-asserted it's interest in the Panama Canal and sent China packing.
China has been trying to get the $$ replaced with the Yuan as the world reserve currency. And we just stood by and did nothing.
So yeah, we need to make China a smaller threat any way we can.
Well we definitely had economically beat them up pretty good until COVID happened. You and I both know that China sits back and builds.....and builds and builds......they are a patient people....so far they aren't out in the world starting wars or overtly meddling in other countries foreign policies......they are like crocodiles and lay in wait and build their resources........Prophets have predicted that one day "the yellow man will inherit the earth."
..........I'm not a fan of China in any way, shape or form but to actively go out of a person's way to poke them to me isn't the best way....
Unfortunately, this administration will do nothing to usurp Chinese power and influence as it's efforts are to take the American "brand" off the global stage.......and who do you think will pick up the title? Sadly, it will be China.....
China owns over $800 billion in US interests........maybe even more by now......that's almost a trillion dollars.......I'd be more worried about that.
What we have to remember is that it wasn't that long ago that the US (and other allies) were in China defending them against the Japanese invasion because they were helpless..........in a relatively short time they went from not being able to defend themselves to being a world superpower and they are only growing and getting stronger.....Well we definitely had economically beat them up pretty good until COVID happened.
China had suffered its worst economy in years largely due to us poking them.
And yes we owe them a lot of $$. And we are finally starting to take that problem head on again.
They also rely on us heavily for food. So it's not like we are helpless against them.
China learned from us how to intertwine themselves into as much influence worldwide as possible.
And we sat back for decades and let them.
And they most definitely meddle in other nations policies. Ask Argentina this week. Ask the Philippines. Ask Taiwan. Ask Africa.
....this administration seems to have a foreign policy that will allow China to gain footholds previously held by the US (if it isn't careful) and we don't want other countries aligning with China as a result of these footholds......What we have to remember is that it wasn't that long ago that the US (and other allies) were in China defending them against the Japanese invasion because they were helpless..........in a relatively short time they went from not being able to defend themselves to being a world superpower and they are only growing and getting stronger.....
The US along with it's allies need to stand tall and take any and all advantages away from China getting more world power....this administration seems to have a foreign policy that will allow China to gain footholds previously held by the US (if it isn't careful) and we don't want other countries aligning with China as a result of these footholds......
I just think these government reduction moves should have been better thought out on a strategic level.....the government can't be managed as if there is a a financial bottom line attached.......if it were, one major military exercise would be a staggering financial loss.....millions of dollars can be spent in a very short time during these large scale training exercises.....
It appears there was more of a dollar figure attached than a strategic gain when it came to the hacking and slashing of governmental programs........
Shutting off all USAID regardless of what it was is one way...........this administration seems to have a foreign policy that will allow China to gain footholds previously held by the US (if it isn't careful) and we don't want other countries aligning with China as a result of these footholds......
Give me an example of how our current administration is doing this.
I'm not sure I follow how any of our cost cutting measures have weakened out ability to hurt China or has helped China.
And I'm going to challenge how it's not about money. We owe $800B to China. If we didn't, we'd have more $$ to spend on defeating them.
Soon our interest payment on our nation's debt will be more $$ than we are spending on our own military defense. So I'm sorry, but yeah it's about $$.
