Oh dear I've got something wrong, it feels like it wants to try to engage just doesn't drop in . Looks like I'm about to become an expert and do the whole process again, I'm thinking engine back out and opened up for investigation.

Thankyou, am I being thick here ? I've put linkage on the other way round, does the clutch need to be pulled in ?

Right Guys and Gals, I've replaced the transmission and put the engine back in the frame only, no harness connections or throttle bodies etc.... Question: should I be able to select a gear I.e 1st By turning the out put shaft obviously engine not running ?

Man ? Thanks for your opinion ! But you shouldn't be so quick to judge people, The engine has been removed, stripped a full transmission change and rebuilt and yes without a manual !!! just a couple of extract pages. Also yes, she has definitely survived . Ps thankyou to all the positive...
