Looking for some thoughts about both . Getting ready to upgrade this Sunday and I'm thinking about switching to Android and see what it's about . Looking at the Samsung Galaxy S3 ,
I have had iPhones ever since they came out . Pro & Cons anyone ?

I am getting tired of not being able to watch and listen to everything i want on the net with the iPad.

Probably going to go galaxy.

Both are very nice, if you want performance get a droid, if you want consistency get the iPhone! I love my android but sometimes she acts quirky, nothing that a battery pull want fix.

Sent from my hayabusa!

IOS for consistent working and solid dependable performance. More credible apps. Phones hardware always works with the OS and the apps

Android for being a geek and doing what ever you want.

Me I'm going to have both and change them out depending on my mood :).

I like my android because it has a standard micro usb connector, copy and paste media to storage without using itunes or a media player, side load apps that are not in the market like VLC media player, removable battery, android allows you to download torrents, customization of number and orientation (landscape or portrait) of home screens and placement of widgets, custom launchers like Nova Launcher rooting the phones is easy allowing free date tethering whether or not your carrier allows it, you can install custom operating systems such as AOKP or CyanogenMod, CyanogenMod | Android Community Rom based on Jelly Bean for ever more versatility and apples new maps sucks. :)

cheers

I am the opposite of you. Up until a few months ago I've always had android. I like that Droids have always been ahead of Apple when it comes to features, speed, and well... Everything. The reason I switched was reliability. The apple works like a charm every time. Apple makes all the apps and games for the operating system themselves so it always works with their devices. What makes the droid nice is it allows the use of apps made by all kinds of people. Unfortunately that feature is also why the droids don't work right, the other guys apps mess up your phone.

I'm not a 'geek' with my phone so I don't care if its got all the newest and coolest features. I use my phone for work, Facebook, and the org. Because of that I want a phone that works every time. I don't think I'll ever have anything but an apple phone again. My only complaint about my iPhone 4S is that's its 3G but its not that big of a deal to me so I'm good with this phone until I have an upgrade available. If you like to 'play' with your phone and have tons of games and Internet sites you may want the galaxy, my buddy has one and its way cool but I'll take a phone that works right over one with more features.

I switched from iPhone to Galaxy. They each have their strengths and weaknesses. Apple's total control over the phone you bought is its major weakness. There are apps I used for free on the iPhone that are pay only or not available on the Galaxy, and vise verse. The iPhone touch pad seems to be more accurate than the one on the Galaxy. I don't think I'll be going back to apple, Especially with what I've been reading about the direction they are heading with the iPhone 5.

I have both. I use my iphone for work and the droid is my personal phone. I like both and it was a hard decision when I upgraded. I just ordered the droid M. I must say the battery on the iphone is much better than my motorola x. I hope the M has better battery life. The droids have google maps and the phone I just ordered has google chrome as a browser, and its 4g. To say which one is best is like saying which oil or tire is best, it all depends on you and ultimately, I think you will be happy with either one.

I'm an android fan; hate anything apple, but that's just me. Omar loves all of his apple technology...

It's apples (ha ha) and oranges...gotta decide what platform you like then decide. iPhone keeps you tied to iTunes, and if you're a fan, then great. I'm no fan of iTunes, never have been, never will be, so I stick with the android OS...

SG3 is Awesome

Yep, that's what I have...only complaint I've had so far is that the Swype program on my DroidX was awesome, and whatever flavor is on the S3 lacks. I've disabled it, it was that bad. The S3's voice recognition is awesome though, much better than I had on the DX...

i have a droid razr and am debating on switching to a iphone 5 but its a toss up so im in the same debate as you

My DROID razor M came today. So far I am impressed. This thing is crazy fast. I almost went with the iPhone, but glad I stayed with the DROID. Also, the DROID comes with an app that will let you sync to itunes.
