00 tank on a 01

i hav baught a tank of a 00 busa i went to change it to my 01 and the fuel pump system is different is there any way around this help me please??

Not that I'm aware of. Do a search on internal / external fuel pumps and see if there's a conversion.

I am in the process of doing this one, but I have not gotten any further than getting the tank. You will need the internal pump, and the fuel line that goes from it to the rail. I have not determined whether the fitting on the rail will work or not

You need an after market fuel pump and a regulator!

Yep, I misread this one, I thought you were trying to upgrade to the internal, not downgrade to the external.

Too many problems with the stock external pumps

Why not just offload that '00 tank which is the wrong one for your bike, and get a '01 tank. Simplify.

I have two '01 tanks for sale in case you go this route.
