OK, got my '04 back and it is spitting oil on the top right hand side of the engine. Please tell me this is some simple fix of tightening something down so I won't have to leave the bike at the dealership for 3 weeks! Any ideas? Also, there seems to be oil squirted on top of my coolant hose

who was the one that did the install? If it was the dealer, I'd take it back to them so that it doesn't void any warranty or such on it.

Sounds to me like it's a case of untightened bolts. Check the oil cooler lines an make sure they're nice an tight. Check both sides...the one coming from the oil cool and the one attaching to the engine.

Also, don't forget to tighten up that engine mount pinch bolt.

I would check the bolt that goes into the side of the cylinder head,,

I have the same problem on my 2005 Hayabusa. Looks to me like a faulty cam cover gasket. I would like to fix it before my dealer service at the end of the month because the oil is leaking out faster than I would like.

Did the dealer fix the problem? what was the labour charge, warantee?

Did they just tighten the bolts, or replace the gasket?
