05 Busa engine probs

I've had my 05 Busa for about a year now, but don't know that much about it, and afraid to tear into it myself.

Since I've had it, the idle has been fairly low and seems to struggle, but that's about it. Recently, I noticed when it's cold, the throttle is like a rock and barely turns. It takes and act of congress to start it,and without the choke on, it'll die when I let off the throttle with the idle still around 8 or 900. I had Suzuki turn it up to abotu 1200..that worked for a while, but it's right back where it was. So to summarize:

1) Have to have the choke on all the time. Throttle turns VERY hard when cold.
2) Takes 10 minutes to get it started. Start, it dies, start it dies, finally starts and stays running. I have to play with the throttle to keep it going until it'll finally run on it's own
3) Idles very low. Throttle loosens up fully after 20 mins or so.

Anyone have any idea? Just wanted to get some thoughts before I take it to Suzuki and they tell me they need a grand to fix it.

Thanks!!

Your starting problem stalling and idle are all related. The busa should idle somewhere around 1150 RPMs. Not uncommen for the idle to change, but it is an easy fix. You can get to the adle adjuster without taking the right fairing off, but it is just as easy to take it off, put some locktight on the threads and your problem is solved. Your bike will not charge the battery below around 2500 RPMs, thus the reason for the hard starting. Keep a battery tender on it if you will not be riding it for awhile. Have you lubricated the cables since you have had the bike. If you store the bike outside or ride in the rain you will need to do that more often. Hope this helps.
