05 fairing donnot fit on 1999

hey guys i was installing an 05 fairing. the upper did not fit on the right side fairing. are they different? what other years would fit an 05 upper. thanks

They should be the same. The only difference from the 99-05 is the lower fairing has an extra support on the early bikes. Three bolts on the lower by the tire and two on the 99's.

Upper should work unless something is bent.

but the upper has two extentions on the side. and the lower has only one place to fit???
