Hey Guys, Im the new owner of a 05 Busa (Gray & Black).I am Looking for some ideas on some appearance mods. Anyone have any pictures of the 05 busa (Gray & Black). With or without mods? Would love to see what a set of Chrome wheels would look like on this bike. Thanks Guys

Personally, I'd focus on mods that enhance your riding experience first;

Hump mod
Kickstand mod
Speedohealer
Battery tender

Oh, and don't forget to loctite your shift lever bolt. If ya don't, it'll likely fall off. At the most unoportune moment!

Oh, by the way...welcome to the board!!

Looks like you got the fastest color!!

yo mjn, how you gonna post a pic like that and not suggest frame sliders...that would be my first mod!!

Thanks for the welcome guys. I plan on doing the Kickstand,Hump & Frame sliders first. Keep the pictures coming.

Oh crap!!

Uh....FRAME SLIDERS!!!

although I'll admit, the sliders would not have helped much in that get-off. They are great if you fall down and keep it on the pavement though..

I have a few appearance/comfort mods on my 05 Black and Grey.  Powerbronze screen,  GenMar 1 14" risers, BlueGauges, grip warmers, painted and drilled cans, reflector delete, foot peg mod, and trimmed mudflap. Also the suspension is setup according to Jinkster's instructions.

Sombody got something mixed up.  mjn.....the fastest color is Gunmetal Grey...The 05 LE.  Didn't anybody tell you?  jk
Hey what bolt would you lock tight??  Down at the shifter itself??  And hey what the heck happened.  Even if your shifter fell off, why didn't you clutch?  What is the story, sorry that happened to your bike.:(

Oh yeah, what is the hump mod and what is the battery tender mod??

Ahhhh no young buffalo breath...you is mucho missinformed. Black/silver much, much faster!

Ok, the bolt you want to loctite is @ the shift shaft. Many '05's have fallen off. Not mine, I read it here and caught mine prior to it fallin'..lucky me.
The hump mod is a simple kit that has 4 half turn fasteners that replace the 4 bolts on the underside of the hump. I makes the dead space usable. Pretty cool huh?
The battery tender is just a charger. It comes with a hard wire from the battery that I put under my hump so it is easy to get to and charge. The tender is automatic..just plug the sucker in and fugitaboutit.

What happened to my bike? Well....that is what happens when you allow your arenaline to conquer common sense. Pushed it too hard out on a mountain road riding solo....came around a corner to find 2 fairly large rocks in my way....missed the rocks...but not the ditch. Oh well...it's only plastic!

Ahhh you so wise....I must learn. Any pics of the bolt to locktight?  I am kinda looking and there are quite a few bolts, just want to make sure I get the right one.  I sure dont want anything to go wrong with my baby.

Where would I get a battery tender??

it is the bolt that holds the shift arm to the shaft coming out of the case....the one with splines..

You said with or without mods . Here's my stock bike and a pic I saved from a long time back of a bike same year /color with that cool Tsukigi Spec II pipe .
