What year & how many miles? Any drag racing? Sounds like a bent shift fork/rounded off gear...

Do a search on this board. You won't like what you find.

If you don't have many miles, I'd trade it in on an brand new '06.
$2000 repair and you end up with the same bike that's been torn apart and put back together or take a $2000 hit on a trade in and end up with a brand new bike and let Suzuki deal with their inferior product (odds are they won't take it out on a wide open test ride).

Ive been told Im pretty much on my own by a couple of people that work for local shops in my area!I'll pull the engine my self and take it to a local guy that knows his stuff about this.I figure under a grand to get it done.the bike is an 05.

dealer had my bike from july 5 th to sept 8th and i took delivery of my 05 le april 21st when i went to suzuki the first time about the problem i had 2100 miles on the bike ,they told me to keep riding bring it back in sept , well it got worse took it to another dealer 1500 for an undercut trans , fought with suzuki about warranty with no luck ,but i now have my bike back 8500 miles and still ridin ! good luck i wish i would hear 1 covered by warranty story about the 05s ? 2nd gear start at 15 mph accelerate steadily mine first started skipping at 8000 rpm then started to go as low as 5000 rpms when i finaly decided to get it fixed i was entering a hiway from a ramp and for some reason it got worse in the turns scared the crap out of me !

Just went through the same crap. Dealer wanted $1100 just to put it back stk. I had a friend do it and send it to Fast by Gast. $300 for the pro cut on the gears(so it don't happen again) and he charged me $400 for the labor.
Just be sure to get your gears cut while your in there so it don't happen again. I've had mine back for bout two weeks now and the tranny is smooth az silk.

I don't believe 5th-6th gear is user error: 1. it is way too common amongst Busa owners, 2. I have the problem with my bike and I have a room full of MX trophies that prove I know how to shift.
