I am curious to find some good negtiation tactics and some prices OTD to include dealership and location with a website preferably to futher some research. Why? I am working on what financing option I want to go with (other than just cash) as I do not think I am going to wait the full time I had additionally planned on prior to buying the Busa. Reason being is I am hoping to find a better deal out there now when the populace says brrrrrrr as opposed to spring when people say hey wish I had a bike.

Location wise I am close to maryland and virginia 05's are also an option if anyone knows of some I am looking at the black/grey or solid black color schemes.

You can't get a really good feel on prices with OTD pricing since different cities and states have different rates for tax, license etc. Such as Oregon, they have no sales tax so the OTD price is going to be very low. I think you'd be better off comparing base price for the machine rather than OTD price? Just my 2 cents worth.

I think you should be able to buy a new busa of your choice for under 10K? I think I paid 9,700 for my 05 back in may? I paid 9,900 for a new K6 Gixxer.

I've never heard of OTD including taxes or license fees for the exact reasons you stated. OTD is the price of the bike and all the *dealer* fees. A lot of dealers will try and make people feel good by telling them they're not paying any prep and freight charges...they just roll it into the final price and bone you on more taxes. Make them list the prep and freight fees on the receipt separate from the bike's price. My '04 was something like $9100 and after all the dealer fee's came out to $9700 OTD. I paid the taxes on the $9100 since the fees are not taxable.

I think the msrp has gone up on the '05 and '06 models but getting one for less than $10K OTD should be no problem

I paid 10,950 out the door including tax and license... That was with 4900 trade in on my GSX750RK3.
