08 busa motor is insane!!!!!

I just read the specs on the 08 motor and if it already hasn't been posted I will share.
1340cc
12.5:1 compression
Any hp estimates??? I figure 40cc and 1.5 and other tweaks should be worth 25-30 hp.

Now here is the question. DO I trade my 05 for the 08..or in the spirit of modding insanity, do I get a 1397 kit, upgrade the suspension and brakes and stomp all new 08's in my path....oh yeah, the new tail section is awful

Grapevine says 178 to the rear.

As for modding ... I doubt the stock '08 still will produce as much HP as a 1397 kit. So I guess it depends on how much power you want.

But what about the 2mm bore on the 2008 model...? That would have them at 1440cc -vs- your 1397cc...

198hp at the crank. Normal driveline loss is 15-18 horsepower. About 175-180 at the rear wheel. Add a BMC race filter with a good exhaust and that should get you to 195-200 at the rear wheel.
