Hey Guys,
I have been posting for a few weeks not, but I was doing some re-structure to the busa I bought off the forums, so I thought I would wait to post pics.
I was in the market for a new Busa last month. Kromdon posted the following link for me:
https://www.hayabusa.org/forum/classifieds-section/125929-2008-black-grey-7200-00-a.html
A fellow org member had his pretty much new 08 Busa for sale as you can see and it was in my home state, about 6 hours away. A few phone call conversations later and I was on my way to pick it up. The owner and his wife were super nice people and the deal went without a hitch.
The bike as you can see in the ad, had smoked turn signals, smoked tail light, and the stickers removed. The bike also had LED lights installed pretty much throughout. Also had a bad battery that I found out. The rear hump had been drilled for the LED lights and also modified to fit with the rear seat on. It had a huge upside though, the price for one and just what I was looking for, 1460 miles, pretty much brand new!!
As you will see in the pictures below, I was not a big fan of the smoked lenses and I love the Hayabusa stickers. So I replaced all the lenses with factory replacements. I was able to wet sand the tail light and then polish it out to what you see in the pics, looks like it was never painted. I also put a few stickers on the bike, still waiting on the Kanji's for the sides.
I put the factory tag bracket back on and used a dremel to cut off the mud flap. I also replaced the rear hump with a factory replacement as well. Did an oil change as soon as I got it with Suzuki race synthetic, drove 20 miles and did another with Amsoil full synthetic just to make sure it was clean.
I have had the bike completely stripped down waiting on parts, they arrived Friday, so pulled an all nighter last night and finished this morning. I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out. I broke the upper fairing on the left side, so had to order a new one of those and replace it
Thanks again to Kromdon for turning me on to this. Thanks to Acrobat, the original owner, for a heck of a deal and being a great guy! Hope to catch up with him one day again and have a beer
Let me know what you think of the sticker placement, I love them.
