'08 engine swap specs

Hey guys,

I've done some searching, and from what I've read, it's not possible. Why is that? Bolt locations, intake, ecu?

I'm in the same boat as V8Pinto. Our class limits us to 1350cc and after reading up on the '08, it looks like the competition just stepped up a notch for next year. Since the rules state that the bike must appear stock from the outside, I was wondering if I could run an '08 longblock with '00 bolt-ons or if '08 crank, pistons, etc. can be swapped.

Just use the 2008 crank and main bearings and then exact the compression and piston to head distance via the usual means .

So the Gen 1 con rods can be used with the Gen 2 crank? That way I can use Gen 1-spec high comp pistons, correct?
