+1 Bones....Interesting.....

Trust not the dealership....
New to sport bikes. Just put my + 1 bones on the other day, and apparently accentuated a pre-existing condition....
Bike seemed to handle fine, but rode stiff as hell before I did this mod. After I raised the rear an inch, and adjusted the chain, an annoying "clunk" developed under hard acceleration. Upon further investigation, realized my rear shock had no sag what-so-ever. I'm not a small guy, (200+), but had absolutely no give at all. Was totally topped out Adjusted 1 1/2 in. of sag into the rear, and voila, no "clunk".
Pretty sad...stealer ship selling a top shelf product, and too lazy/ignorant to professionally follow through.
Same scenario on my Harley. One visit to the service department taught me that a good shop manual, a good forum, and decent set of tools is a much better solution than having their "certified" technicians screw with my ride...
Looking forward to further "tinkering"...
By the way....
Anyone wondering if they should raise the rear....DO IT!!!!
Inexpensive, and totally transforms handling. Especially if you are an OG like me who has done risers/and or Helibars, and Buell pegs or the like. Necessity for me, (I'm 6' 4"). Raising the rear does a pretty good job of offsetting the reduced clearance of the lower peg IMHO.
