im curious to what all goes into this type of upgrade how much power should you gain? how much should this cost? how reliable is this, i want something i can ride everyday in tx heat

overbore, pistons, high volumn oil pump gear, cams?, heads?, starter mod (pre 02), etc...
190-225 HP
Depends on how much you turn the wrench, but safe to say $2200 to $6000 (or more....)
Very reliable "IF" you build it as a everyday rider..
Dual fans, water wetter, and some tweaks to your therm can make this possible...

Is there a place that you would say does very high quality work I read of a guy looking for some where to mabe ship his bike to be worked on he wants the 1397 kit.....Nate

you get what you pay for, if you go cheap then unless you are either very good or very lucky you probably won't get what you should.

can they install mine with a flux compacitor? and upgrade my electrical system with a higher voltage like...1.2 jigga-watts?

so its not as simple as just buying the piston kit from ape i think its like 850
Yes/No... ($1500 if you do it yourself maybe more/less depends on who you know!)
You will at min have that and a gasket kit (roughly $100), oil change twice right after the rebuild/break in. New Radiator fluid... Special tools to remove Engine, Etc.. ($130) Can't forget the 230 CCA high output Battery ($115). Plus you might as well install the High volumn oil pump gear (part roughly $35). Now you will want to get the thing dyno tuned. Not sure of the cost really depends on who does it and what you use to modify the ECU.. (rough guess $200-345 dyno time + another $125-500 for the control unit).
future things to consider purchasing/adding
Bigbore Exhaust System
Clutch housing support
Modified clutch
Starter mod for pre 02 Busa's
Dual battery set-up
Dual fans
Heavy Duty Chain/sprockets for the xtra HP
Engine Case Gaurds (TMH)
Cams...
Head work...
NOS..
It just never ends.

i really appreciate the info, i was curoius to know what all was involved you have been a great help now i know this is too much for me to attemp an im goign to look for a good builder i basically want to get to 200 hp rw an then use nos when i just gotta have it, i just found a 99 busa which already has an air shifter a wet nos system with nitrous controller the guy blew the motor in it so i have a new motor going in it, so ive been looking at my option for more power i also havea n 05 1000 but im hoping the busa can be an all around bike drag curves top end run etc

If you can do the work yourself it don't cost all that much .

Less than 860.00 for Wiseco 1397 12.1 .

$ 640.00 Yoshimura cams

Mapping whether with TEKA or Power Commander USB or get close with a Quasar map .

You can do that with with just slip-on's if you wanted and have big torque at as low as 4500 rpm's .

Pipe , porting the money goes up but so does the power .

We keep these finished on the shelf. No waiting for bore and replate. Send us your block and we send you back the kit ready to install.

I would guess that we do more of these than anyone else.

ok let's speculate on power gains on the build here....

ok stock motor with bored block (1390cc) 12.5-1 CR....185hp?
cams? + 10-15 hp?
headwork? +10-25 hp?

of course this is with an aftermarket echaust installed.
