Deciding whether to do it myself or having the shop do it. Will be using it for mainly daily riding with plenty of weekend fun runs. Right now still researching options to figure out exactly what I want to do.

I have done quite a few and not one has beenthe same price due to different wants and needs.
You realyl should have someone build it that can map so it would be turn key(ride in ride out.) sending motor and then mapping just suxs and one will always blame the other.
I would suggest to list what you know you will need. Pipe cams sprockets pistons bore n plate. That will get you ball park. then the prices goes up from there with more HP.

I did one 00 busa with a 1397 HMF bigbird small box mod Yosh cams
made 192 HP and 114# torque he wanted a daily rider so more torque less ponies
Price for all the parts including a PC2 pipe cams and pistons mapped and labor about 3500
just think about a grand more and you have boost and over 250 hp

But for 3700.00 a getto kit 250hp and you can bolt it on yourself

3 days but motorhead is closer than I am.
Motorhead is in Cleveland
