Last night I...I mean a friend of mine ;) told me that he put his BUSA in 4th gear and pinned the throttle until it reached red line. The speedo indicated approximately 170mph.

You gotta love that with 2 gears to spare.

If I'm not mistaken this same friend ;) told me that 3rd gear on his BUSA was good for 150mph at red line.

I think I'm...I mean my friend ;) is going to do a little test on 5th and 6th gear tonight or this weekend.

I've been faster...I mean my friend ;) told me that he's been faster, but he didn't take a look at the tach. I've seen...I mean my friend ;) told me that he has seen the bike indicate 205mph.

He's crazy ;)

This past weekend while riding 2 up - I had my busa up to 185, in 5th gear, still pulling hard with 5 grand to spare on the tach!

Your passenger must be hating you.

My wife and I went out one day and I took it up to 130mph and she started pinching me. I told her we were doing 130mph and she told me that 20mph was just fine with her.

She's a chicken.

I see you guys like doing high-speed runs on the busa. What do you usually do to minimize wind turbulence - crouch down as much as possible behind the windshield?

Actually it was my best riding buds 14 year old son. I offered to let him ride with me on the trip from Dallas to Oklahoma City - rather than stick him on the back of my buds Ducati 996.

He loved every minute of it!

It can be tough with any kind of a tank bag. I've got the double bubble and that helps, but in general, I kind of point the top of my head into the wind.... High speeds are MUCH easier w/o a tank bag!

I push my *** back against the hump and pin my arms to the tank. (I mean that's what my friend told me he does ;) )

My eyes are just above the wind screen (I mean that's what my friend told me he does ;) )

Lantabusa,

I can understand that, but it doesn't mean that you are a chicken. It just mean that I'm crazier than you are...I mean my friends crazier than you are ;) .

Things get very scary at 180+mph. My helmet seems to want to seperate from my head when doing 180+mph. I mean that's what my friend tells me ;) . I need...I mean my friend ;)needs to strap that helment on a little tighter for those warp speed runs.
