1999 Hayabusa w/25k miles

Hi guys. I used to come here under a different name but I can't find the name/password...its been a while!

I have a friend of a friend that's selling his copper Busa, in great stock condition, all original. It looks pristine if photos (Must see, I know!). He says the oil is changed every 1000 miles. I am hesitant to buy it due to the mileage and also the fact that he wants $7,500 for it. What do you guys think? Thanks if you can give your opinion. Regards

25M miles ain't so bad for a 99, but the price is horrible. For that amount of money you should be able to find some with add ons and less miles. A friend of mile bought a 99 last year with 14M miles for 5400 in Columbia, SC, so shop around.

To me the price is quite high. The mileage isn't bad, especially bein as there are guys on here with 100,000 on em, so if he's taken care of like he says, you should still have plenty left to go. For that price, though, I don't know. Let me put it to you this way, I picked up an 06LE back in Sep. with 2,000 miles on it for $1500 more than he wants for his. (I payed $9,000)

That's not bad. My '02 has 30k on it. $7,500 is a little steep but if u like it...buy it man

If you're comfortable with the price get it, but it would be too much for me. Used bikes aren't selling very well right now. Love the '99 too, but not for that price.

$4500-$6000 max w/ low miles in perfect condition.

For 8000 you could buy an 05 like mine with 6k miles.

look around, that price is to steep. Like the other guys said you can get a newer one with after market stuff for that price.

yep miles is not that big a deal if its taken care of but that price is too high unless he's claimin' classic status lol. Which it sounds like he is since its "all stock".

Thats WAYYYYYY to high for that year bike with those miles. Folks are trying to somehow fan up the prices on the coppers...but its the same busa as any other. You could make any year a copper if you want to buy the parts or have it painted. Its a buyers market for busas. In his mind he has a collectible, but in reality that price is out of touch for an almost 10 year old bike with 25k miles on it. You could get a year old bike with practically no miles on it for that price. Plus anything 03 and newer has better forks/camchain design/ignition system and has had all the early recall probs and bugs worked out. That price is totally out of line for what you're getting
