Welcome to the board. Just play the game and get your offers in writing. Service doesn't matter you can take it anywhere you want.

Are you willin to go out of states for a bike? Do you want a new bike or used? Definitely shop around and you will find the best deal for you.

Shop around. I speak from experience. It's hard, especially when it's your dream bike. I paid 11,300 OTD for my 04. I wished I woulda looked around.

Try to get as much out of the deal thrown in before signing papers.

600 mile break-in service
extended warranty
discount on gear, (can usaully be gotten for like a 6 month or so period after purchase)

Got all the way to signing the papers, then told my dealer I needed a $500 Busa helmet, he squabbled some, but I got it thrown in................But I did forget about that break-in service, I'm sure I could of gotten that to.

Also, if possible, go in with cash and the world is yours.
2nd best option is to go in with an already approved bank loan. If you don't finance through the dealer and save them that paperwork and come in the door with a gauranteed approval, they'll run through hoops to get you to buy off their floor. This worked for me 5 years ago when I bought my ATV, tried to go through the dealer and was turned down for $6,100 OTD. Went to my bank and got a loan and suddenly when I could shop around I left with an OTD price of $5,400. Go figure.

What if the bike isn't on the showroom floor. Can a dealer just get one in for you. And would you have to pay more for one they had to get in as opposed to one sitting on the floor. I posted a while back about used busa prices. I've decided to get a new one (se in red). I just sold my Honda tonight so it's time to hit up the dealers. Is that 9800 include the tax. Or is it 9800 plus tax? I found a couple internet sales in ohio for 9464 plus tax and another for 9600 plus tax.

That SE in red is last years color. I would try to low ball them. Or go for the SE this year in gun metal grey. Great color scheme there!

Plus the red 04 LE is the fastest color!!!

WOW! what fast responses!

i'm looking for the best deal i can on a new 2005. i'm not too concerned on color, as long as its not bright red.

the 4 dealers nearby i have talked to have offered to fax my credit union the costs. they havent offered anything in writing yet.

i appreciate everyones help. i want a new busa, for the best cost i can find.

(what a great forum this is!!!)

Always ask them the price OTD. Only compare prices that are OTD (out the door) how much for the bike, and all taxes, DMV, freight charges, dealer set up fees. One dealer might have a much lower selling price and then gouge you on extra fees.

at RMC (largest motorcycle dealer in state) in Renton, Washington will sell you one for $10,900 or less out the door.
He sold me one on December 26, 2004.

i called wolfgang this morning, and he said he would be calling me back with a quote. he said he is out of busa helmets, and said he would get the breakin service, 3 or 4 year warranty and everything in the price when he calls back. he was really nice to talk to as well.

thank you! i'm very happy with this community i have found here at hayabusa.org . i think i'll save a ton learning about buying with you guys!

I hope you are able to get that 04 LE at a good price. I think if a dealer doesn't have it on the floor he could trade with another dealer that has one, but it may cost you a little to do that. Depends on what kind of deal they can work out.

By all means, drop me a PM and I'll help you out. I have a great deal of clout at the dealer just up the road from you. I certain I can get you a better deal! First get quotes from your local dealers and then we'll see just how much I can save you?
