Rear seat on..Totally stock..Mirrors on and air pressure normal..

1st pass: 11.40 at 116mph 2.126 60 foot..
2nd pass: 11.030 at 132.41mph 2.051 60 foot...

I was nerves as hell both times but feel if i had gotten another try a 10.70ish would be doable.. I weigh in at 160 pounds wet

Come on down and have some fun !!!!  Seat time will help a lot look at the improvement from 1st to 2nd run. The main thing is have fun and be safe. Talk to others racing bikes I think you will find them helpful and full of advice, until you start becoming a threat. The people here have helped me a lot and they guys that I run on the track with still give me advice, guess I am not a threat yet.

links for the rear , strap the front down , go to a 43 tooth rear sprocket , drop rear pressure 5psi , should be able to do those mods for about 100$ and you should pick up some time, time at the track will also help

20 psi good start. idealy the most air pressure without sacrificing traction is best. imo. good job tho between 1st and 2nd run...it can only get better.

Good for you for doing it, period. I have not done it and am too chicken to try!

Practive on your shot times, you should be able to get the bike to the 60 ft mark in about 1.6 or 1.7 seconds especially if you strap the front. Doing this will greatly improve your overall numbers. It's all in the launch.

I've decided on straping the front and putting bones out back... also to bring the wheel back... What advice do you guys have? Shinko is my tire of choice.. Im alittle weary about arm extentions.. The motor will not be touched till i get into the 9's period.. besides the clutch.. which chain? <---- not going cheap on this one....

btw thanks to you all for posting and even reading... wanna do this as safe as possible...

oh and on my second run i had good pressure on the rear brake as 2nd gear brought up the front tire... thanks guys!!!

I would invest in a pro shift shifting star, ZZZ Oring chain, springs for the clutch, dog bones and a strap....BAM your in the nines

uh with a little practice..

uh with a little practice..
Add a sprocket brace or billet sprocket cover to the list if you change springs. Practice is the big key. I went 10.02 but have a Yosh pipe. I'm also 75 lbs heavier. Get some more runs in. There a thread in this section called Launching with some pointers that might help.

As far as chain, I run an EK DR non-oring (good for a few HP over the stock oring). Not a chain for a daily driver...way to much lube and maintenence.

I can't find the thread.. Anyone know which one hes talking about?? thx!

Still in the 10.0s. The last two races I was starting to think points chase instead of getting that 9 second pass. I was not willing to make much in the way of changes. It ended up paying off in the end.

I have made a few changes this year, but they are minor. I plan on trying to polish up my end of it a bit. I'll make a few changes through the year, but I'm after consistancy with a stock arm.

Launch at 7-8000 and slip the clutch -- you'll bust a 9 sec run. I was all over the low tens launching at 4K. Once I bumped it up the bike responded much better. It's all in the first 60'
