Now that the season has gotten pretty heavy around the base im stationed at, i cant help but to notice that it seems as thought there are a numerous amount of bikes that can do or have done 200+ MPH.

Do-able, yes. But i think we all know it takes some good money and some great mods. Maybe even some nice wind at your back.
I know some of you guys have to have some FRIENDS like that........

There are those that THINK they have gone 200... there are those that SAY they have gone 200... then there are those that REALLY HAVE gone 200...and there arent alot of those, Unless they have a GPS or a certificate or something, i'd call BS!

Very true, Unless they have means to be clocked by an outside source. I have burried my speedo several times, geared, piped, pcIIIusb. but seriously doubt that will get me to the 200 mark. but....180 something is pretty damned fast

Yea, I have a friend with an R1 and so far he has claimed 212mph. Rather then argue with him I just said he should get a gps to verify his speedo is correct. The bike has a PC3 and some bolt-on's. I doubt it can do a true 190 let alone 212. He is just one of several with liter bike that claim breaking the 200 mph barrier. Bikes are getting faster but having a bike that will do 200 is an accomplishment.....actualy riding it at 200+ is something else.

I wouldn't even trust a GPS for proof. I'm working up to the 200 MPH club. Hopefully after some more Smither's magic over the winter I'll get there in '09. With certified electronic timing for proof.

Everybody's <R1, TL, Kawasaki whatever> goes 200. Get used to people telling you that.

We all know it just takes a pipe and a map and you're there right? "My old TL went 200 and I was only at half throttle..."
