Did the "member" who installed the 200/90 rear tire encounter any clearance concerns?
Never seen that tire and wondered if there is a significant difference in width/appearance?

well, that wouldn't be me, however, the 200 series tire is only 2 milimeter's wider than the stock tire. it is labeled a 190 but actually measures 198 mm. you should notice very little difference in appearance aside from actual tire looks. the width is negligable. hope this answers your question.

I will have the 200/50-17 on the road next week. I read that the BT56J actually measured out to a 198, that is why I went with the Pirelli Dragon corsa. It seemed to be closer to stock dimension than a 190 of the other brands. I replaced them as set 120/70-17 in front.Past experience with Pirelli's was very good.Could not locate a Bridgestone BT56J at a reasonable price. I have the same complaint about the BT56J as gsx1300guy had, very slippery over the asphault patches in the road. How ever they were great on rain grooved or milled road surfaces(no wandering). I hope the Pirelli's work well, I am concerned with the crown radius of the front tire. I have read that the stock Bridgestones have a special radius developed for the bike to help it turn in quicker.

That sounds like a good problem to have. Which model Michelin did you go with exactly?
Is it the X25 on the rear and X15 on the front?
