2003 w/3500 mi for $8000?

Your thoughts please.  I am looking at this lightly used 2003 model.  Seller asking $8000, but I saw one nearly identical sell on ebay for $7800.  Only mods are gel seat, bra, and bolt on D&Ds. 7800 ok or a great deal?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Luckydevil: Yes you pay 6% on all vehicles. When you trade in a vehicle you only pay on the difference....

if it was me i would just buy a brand new leftover 04 right now. you have to figure $8,500 (w/ taxes) is a lot of money for a bike that you don't know anything about how it has been treated. for a grand or two more you could have a brand new 0 mile bike.

I won't sell my 03 for less than 6800 cash, when I am done with it this year.
But then it has been properly taken care off.

IMO, $8k is not a bad price for an '03. My only issue with a used anything is feeling comfortable about the state of it right now. How many miles on it and any service records to back it up?

Dont buy it..... wait till the 05's are out because they have the new motor and bodywork.....

(again unchanged for 05 it seems).

I would say go for it unless it has been wrecked. At 3500 miles I dont feel it has not been rode enough to really worry about service records but would change the oil and do a complete service if you do get it for a baseline.

8K is a fair asking price if it has been well kept.
