MAN, MY BUDDY HAS A 2004 MATT MALADIN EDITION GSXR1000.THE BIKE HAS A K&N FILTER,TRE MOD,AND A YOSHIMURA RS3 CARBON FIBER EXHAUST CANISTER,AND I THINK AN AFTERMARKET TITANIUM HEADDER SYSTEM,YOU KNOW THE ONE THAT CHANGES THE RAINBOW OF COLORS WHEN IT IS EXPOSED TO HEAT....MAN THE BIKE IS BADDD ASSSS......I HAVE SEEN HIM PERSONALLY EAT 954'S AND BUSAS ALIKE FOR LUNCH....THE GUY IS LIKE 24 AND WEIGHS LIKE 165 I THINK HE SAID.....BUT THE BIKE IS ALOT FASTER THAN EVERYONE THINKS IT SHOULD BE....OR ARE THEY JUST NATURALLY BORN ASS KICKERS FROM THE FACTORY,I PERSONALLY HAVE SEEN HIM EAT EVERYTHING AROUND HERE WITH THE THING..OTHER GSXR'S.ZZR1200'S,ZX12R'S,AND YES EVEN THE MIGHTY BUSAS WERE DETHRONED I HAVE SEEN HIM RACE THEM FROM ROLLING STARTS DEAD STARTS,AND HE STILL GETS THEM,MY BUSA IS A 2005 MODEL AND IT HAS ART PRO RACE SERIES CANISTERS,IVANS TRE MOD,K&N FILTER,AIR BOX MOD,STOCK GEARING,AND A ZERO GRAVITY DOUBLE BUBBLE WINDSCREEN,HE PACKS MY LUNCH ON EVERY RUN,BUT I USED THE EXCUSE THAT I OUT WEIGH HIM BY LIKE 90LBS,AND MY BIKE OUTWEIGHS HIS BY LIKE 100 LBS......SO GUYS WHAT GIVES WITH THIS ####....I WENT OUT IN DECEMBER AND PAID $9,000.00 FOR WHAT WAS SUPPOSEDLY THE BADDEST BIKE ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH.."WORLDS FAST PRODUCTION MOTORCYCLE"

That is a good question and I would also like to know the answer to that, as i too have always been led to believe the Busa is supose to be the fastest production bike of the showroom floor. What is up with that?

Man,your dissin on me and you dont even know me.!!.....you should be dissin on the bike....all I know is from a 60-70-mile/hr roll on start in my 2nd gear he jumps me 2-3 bike lengths then i start to reel him in and he then proceeds to start pulling me all the way up yo bout 165mph,then I guess the Busa's power starts coming on.Cause I start to reel him in again....Also dont let my New Recruit status fool ya,I have ridden and raced more motocross and street bikes than you probably have ever seen I'm 36 years old and pretty fluent in bikes..busa,AND A EX250 NINJA AS A TRAINING BIKE....we do alot of stunt riding and I bought the BUSA for just power cruising, But I just cant figure it out....the gsxr I am talking about is just friggin fast......plus as I said tho...I am giving up 200 lbs between the bikes 100 ils heaviness from the showroom floor,and my extra 90# from my moms gene pool........I think the results are the same or would be the same on or with most busas on the board,I think the gsxr1000 will pull it...and as it did with me,also the gsxr100 is that fast...what about the mighty zx10,the new R1,they say that the cbr1000rr is the slowest from the fab four,but its has been eatin at me lately...or at least since he roasted me azz on saturdays ride, so what to do? what to do?....I feel as if I need to reclaim the Busas title....I guess I will go ahead and spring for the pc3r and try to stay away from moms bacon and biscuits and fried taters,and brown beans and cornbread,and anything else that puts meat on me bones.....SO I GUESS I CAN KEEP BLAMING IT ON THE WEIGHT,..ATLEAST UNTIL SOME OF THE REST OF YOU GUYS OUT THERE NUT UP AND SAY YOU TOO HAVE BEEN SPANKED BY ONE OF THE NEW LEITER BIKES........YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT IT LIKE I DO...They weigh considerably less than the BUSA,and are making around the same horsepower,and given a heavier rider with more m-ASS to carry.......with more wind resistance, and not being able to tuck in as you can on the race bike replicas....SO WHATS UP WITH THAT....?

Well I will give u this little heads up.....
If you see an 05 gixxer 1K and u start to feel a lil gitty inside and think u may want to run him.............just close your eyes and turn the other way because if you cant get a jump on the  04 gixxer the 05 will absolutely kill the 04 without second thought. I owned an 04 gixxer 1K and I know that my gixxer couldn't run with my busa.
Now on the topic of u running him. U need practice.  The busa will jump all over the a$$ of a gixxer from a standing start drag race.  The rolling start it makes it a little closer but the busa pulls on the gixxer.  Now the 05 gixxer will probably still get taken by the busa in a heads up drag race especially with a 40mm shorter wheelbase on the 05.  But with the added horsepower now at 165 the roll on racing doesnt look good for the Busa  "THIS YEAR!!!!!!"  the 06 Busa has definately got to be stepped up........

SO BUSAREDS......what all have you done to your BUSA.??,,,,as I said before mine just has the K&N,TRE MOD,AND THE ART PRO RACE SERIES EXHAUST SYSTEM CANNISTERS,and the air box mod,My cousin has a 2003 40th anniversary with a power coammander 3 and the air box mod with the ram air tube mods,and a tre,and a k&n,and my bike feels faster than his does,??.....but its just fuggin anoying...goin today to get a power commander 3,and some 100 octane race gas,,,,,may or may not help,but atleast it may make me feel better....also my cousin has found a place that puts true 48mm butterflies in the throttleboddies.and also gives them a true 48mm smooth bore,for the cost of $600.00.....but hey he makes the big bucks federal gov employee....and all......like I said mine is a new bike,200 miles...but after all the riding saturday,it has 450 miles on it,but I just dont get it...I saw a brand new 04 model zx10 dynoed at 121 hp stock from the showroom floor...and my cousins Busa without the power commander installed and with the tre,k&n,air box mod,and the yoshimura rs3 cannisters,make a 151 rear wheel horsepower,on the same dyno......thats 30hp difference,shouldnt that make up for the weight difference,....AND ARE THE 05 MODEL GIXXERS THAT MUCH DIFFERENT FROM THE O4 MODELS....Well my cousin is taking his bike to the dynojet center in Little Rock Arkansas,and is going to get his tuned....with the new throttleboddies installed..maybe if he has good results,I will too..but for now the power commander is on its way.......ANYONE KNOW OF ANY GOOD MAPS FOR THE MODS I HAVE MADE...?

whewww.!!!! 165 horsepower for the 2005 model gixxer.....man my mso showed my HAYABUSA had 173.5 but I think that it was at the crank and not the rear wheel.......as I said before with the bove posted mods my cousins bike dynoed at 151 rear wheel horsepower....my buddies bike a 2004 zzr1200r dynoed at 140 rear wheel horsepower.....and the BUSA will trounce on it all day long....the new cbr1000rr was dynoed that same day also...it made like 119hp at the rear wheel.....:blush:

I am just curious....Are you a drag racer? How long have you been riding? Where are you racing? More experienced riders will always whip less experienced riders a$$e$.
 
NO I AM NOT A DRAG RACER,I HAVE BEEN RIDING BIKES IN GENERAL SINCE I WAS 5.MOST OF THE TIME WE WERE RACING ON A LONG STRAIT ROAD,AND NO HE ISINT MORE EXPERIENCED HE'S LIKE 24....I TAUGHT HIM TO RIDE WHEN HE WAS 5 HE RODE MY OLD HONDA 50...GUESS I DID TOO GOOD OF A JOB....?

It also depends on where in your powerband he is and where you are. I think second gear at 70 puts you right around 8-9k so you may be losing on the shifts. I havent been pulled by any liter bikes yet so i dont really know the feeling but im only a buck 65. How much weight does your exhaust take off and how much power does it add? Also a map will help cause your bike may not be getting the right AF ratio. With the dynos all dynos are different and all test numbers should be run on the same dyno at around the same condition or you will get fluctuaions like that

). It's fun to play around on the bike, learning what gear to be in at what speed for best "take-off". As far as maps, it's best to do a dyno tuning session, but there's plenty of maps to experiment with on the Power Commander web site. I like to make runs from different RPM ranges to judge how the bike is running. I judge a good map by where the front wheel ends up

without changing the head pipes on the exhaust (basically a full exhaust) you are wastin ur money on a PC. The PC retunes an engine because of a major change, like exhaust. Bolt on cannisters dont do it. Not enough change in exhaust flow. The horsepower gained in an exhaust is mostly in the head tubes and mid pipe.
Another thing, 100 octane gas will slow u down. The lower the octane the hotter the BOOM........87 is what u want (on a stock motor).
When i compare the two bikes I am talkin stock to stock.
 
Ohh man you have bolts on i thought you were doing something so your basiclly racing a stock busa against a modded gsxr....The air box mod will only make more power up top not down low and it wont be as noticable without a proper map. hey just get an exhaust system and you'll be dancing all over him. PC 3 you should get from JC he will put a map for your mods on it for you just about as good as the 250 dollar custom session youll pay for. Or you can go BDE on the exaust and get a map for free from him

I went from a Single side sealed Japanese Bearing to a High speed( I guess tighter tolerance) Dual Sealed Bearing. I went to Akron, Bearing and drive the Man is a friend of my Father. He knows bearings.
