2004 Idle adjust

hello all, new to the forum, just bought my Hayabusa (2004) and was wondering where the idle adjust screw is, my friends bike (2000) has a knurled knob right side by the oil fill, while mine has nothing. Obviously they either changed the location or elimated it. I dont have a problem, but I feel Im idling a little to low, Under 900 when hot, otherwise I have to ride with the fast idle on. Thanks

It's under the tank on the right side.

ok, so the bodywork and the tank have to be removed to adjust?

No. You can remove the front seat and the 2 bolts from the front of the tank and lift the tank up. Or you can get a long skinny screwdriver

Yeah, the idle adjust by the clutch is an aftermarket item. Comes in handy sometimes.
