2004 mid pipes on

Has anyone tried to put a set of the 04 polished mid pipes on a BUSA that isn't supposed to take them. I have a 00 and didn't relize that they were total differant til I already bought them and was going to put them on. They won't work unless I do some cutting and I still don't know if it will work. So before I start cutting up my pipes and fugg it all up I figured I would check first. At least the mufflers fit.

I went thru this with my '01. Only one mid pipe detatches from the '01. (I assume the smae is true of the '00. So you can change one side, and can't change the other. I had to buy the whole '02 (or newer) exhaust, and change it out. Do not pay much for this because it is in high supply. Many guys have them left over after going to a full exhaust system. After I bought one on e-bay, I had several members offer to give me theirs.

Thanks For the info. I was just planning on getting rid of the mid pipes. I geuss that I could just get the a newer head pipe and that would rap it up. You think it would do anything with the performance??
