I am trying to add a GPI on my bike with a 7-segment display, for which I will use a microcontroller to decode the GPI signal and display it to a digit 7-segment display. I am doing this DIY because I can buy those things in India. The market is non-existent here and importing items from US/UK is a big headache because of customs duties.
However, I have no idea where the GPI wires are located, Some online forms say it looks like the one in the image below with a triangular wire.
Location given below

Question 1 : Is this the correct wire/ location? If so which wire carry GPI signal? is it blue wire?
Question 2 : The How to decode GPI sinal? Is it PWM signal? Or a variable voltage controlled by resistor array? Or something else? How to read it?
