I called Santa Rosa Power Sports a week in advance to have the parts needed for my recall ordered so that at my scheduled appointment time the following week it would be ready for pick-up on time. I dropped off the bike the night before the service was due, and was told there were no problems and it'd be ready for pick-up today with no issues. I've been waiting all day to hear from them and so around 2:30pm I called and they told me it wasn't going to be done until sometime towards the end of the next week. This is only suppose to have been a 1.3 hour service, although covered by warranty or not it shouldn't take 3 weeks to get a part in and have it fixed. I'm a single father and this is my transportation back and forth to work at about 100 miles round trip per day. I've heard a lot of bad things about this business in the past but I figured that I knew a couple of the guys up there that none of the "rumors" about their service was true. Well I guess they weren't rumors...(Santa Rosa Power Sports)

Welcome to the .oRg !!

tell them to put it back together and pick it up.... hate service dept that pull the bait and switch crap...

it took my tech 30 minutes to do it. He was done before I was done looking around the showroom.

Welcome!

I agree ... call and tell them you need it for transportation, so you'll be there within the hour to take it home. Then find another dealer to do the work--maybe start a new thread and ask for a reputable dealer in your area?

Keep us posted.

I'd go pick it up and use it over the weekend.

Dude, seriously...you're Pacific Daylight Time, just like me.  There's plenty of time.

Go get it.

Be sure to call Suzuki America corporate to let them know what's the dealio with that.  Don't even tell the lame-aXX dealership you're doing it.

Blasphemous, punk-a$$, dope-fiend, biotches.

Unacceptable.

They are delivering it to me right now, then picking it up when the parts come in and bringing it back and giving me $150.00 gift certificate for my troubles, maybe their not so bad after all.

Maybe.

Did you show them a link to this thread?

I'm glad they're steppin' up to the plate for you, brother. Otherwise, there'd be hell to pay.

Be safe this weekend, take lots of pix, and share 'em with us come Monday.

Salute.
