2011 Hayabusa RPM issue

2011 busa with 22k kms for a sweet deal. I just recently found out when I stretched her legs a little bit. 1st and 2nd gear are good until redline. Did not revved it too long there. But the 3rd gear wont go past 7k rpm. So is the remaining gears. Its too bad I couldn’t test its full straight road potential. It was staying in 220km/h on 6th gear. It boggs down on power, then slows down a bit then it pushes back to 220. By any chance you have an idea for this? Tried flushing the fuel tank, lines, and the injectors using 44k but to no avail. Is it also possible that a reflash for the bike might solve this by sorting the fueling?

Oui Paulo ,

a brand new fuel pump with clean filter should help !

Thanks Rojo, I’ll try to source a new pump and filter also. Does anyone has the part number for it? Suzuki motorcycle showroom in the Philippines is very timid of selling parts for old busas.

Interesting. I'll check mine tomorrow on a little straight I know. 7~8~9,000 rpm in third, I wonder what speed that is?

you have any links for the 2020 fuel pump?

Try changing the injector screens. Once they get clogged, the won't come clean.
I'm not positive, but I think the injector

screens for a Chevy LS7 are the same. Screens are cheap on eBay.

but u know that a brand new fuel pump isn´t that cheap?

but at ebay germany (ebay.de) and preowned u should find it for less the half price

but for the ´11 u also can use one of the older models - down till the ´08

the pumps of ´8 -´17/18 are the same - as far as i now

and surch the forum there is a nice description how to clean the pump´s filter
and how to replace the old pump itself - u can by the pump alone for cheap money - look into the net (and in the .org)

Hey guys I found the culprit for the 3rd gear staying in 7k rpm. A connector from the air box runs on bluetooth. Wired it properly this time. 1st to 4th gear sure does revs up to red line. Only problem is 5th and 6th which is staying on 7k. Got a new fuel pump and testing it out soon.

Dude thanks for the advice here. Bought a pump and a filter set for 2nd gen. Hopefully it will resolve this issue. The bike is in pretty good shape after the general Maintenance. Only the 5th and 6th gear are staying on the 7k rpm.

no need to rev past 10 *

Hey everyone, found the culprit thanks to spunkyboyy on YT, its the fuel pressure regulator that I need to replace. And I did, but after stalling and starting it on first, the engine was running richer again. The reason why the rpm isnt increasing is that Im running rich.

My guy, its still not the fuel pressure regulator. I replaced mine and got to wait for weeks to take it out for a stretch. Sadly, its not yet fixed by this.

My mechanic did the extra mile while replacing the pump module, he made it squeaky clean like the one posted above. Based on the footage I had, the gear position sensor is also faulty. Im still figuring out if its also the problem. I really want this bike to be pn its full potential. Im waiting for a few days and will be trying solutions from 2008 if repositioning the TPE and removing the smog plumbing works.
