Get rid of the restrictive exhaust, tune through the ECU and this bike should wake up pretty good.New airbox/air cleaner capacity increased from 10.3liters to 11.5liters...

Yep, all short stacks will pick up a few ponies alone..Huge stacks too
Everyone knows that's false advertising...Get rid of the restrictive exhaust, tune through the ECU and this bike should wake up pretty good.
I'm surprised there isn't a hp figure at the intake like Kawasaki does...they add 7-9 hp for their intake boost on the ZX14R.
I'm not certain of that....and I believe other bikes with a ram air system pick up more ponies but this isn't taken into the equation.Everyone knows that's false advertising...
Yeah, but narrower throttle body intakes . .Huge stacks too
If you look at the throttle opening it's actually slightly larger, but the blades themselves are actually 1mm smaller.Yeah, but narrower throttle body intakes . .
Ok, I’ll look closer at that, thanks...If you look at the throttle opening it's actually slightly larger, but the blades themselves are actually 1mm smaller.
Electronic cruise control is available now the Gen 2 though?.hm
yep interesting
because in my eyes they went back (from 2 per body at the gen2) to one blade per throttle body?
did they really do so?
so eventually one can use this body, with some (or a lot of) electronic changes, for gen1 and 2?
and get by that a real elc. cruise control?
I'd imagine it would not be a "plug and play" swap out...probably need the ECU and all the harnesseshm

The secondary blades didn't really do anything except reduce performance for mode A-B-C on the Gen-2. It was just another restriction in the system.hm

Only partly true. Even in A mode of you look at the secondary throttle blade map in the ecu the blades close partly at certain rpm. This is done to keep air velocity up.The secondary blades didn't really do anything except reduce performance for mode A-B-C on the Gen-2. It was just another restriction in the system.
