im running a 200mm battlax014 now, and a local speed shop said i could also house the metz me880 210/55/17 w/o rub... is this true? my chain gaurd is already off, but any other problems with it? help !

Someone posted up on this, he said that the chain did hit the tire.I ran a 200 for a while with no problems.NJ.

...190 or 200 is the best option for the busa without compromising handling!!

Put the 210 on.....You let us know if it rubs!!

I rub a little with a 200 tire, and that is mainly when leaning....When it is on the side stand the clearance is so tight is is unreal....No problems yet, but will be going back to a 190 after this one wears out in another 3000 miles....I would think 210 would be WAY too wide with no mods...

My 200 Maxxis has about 1/64" clearance from the chain. The round profile makes it look huge, I would think a 210 is a no go.

...if you measure the BT56 which is under the bike for start, you find it to be 200...even there says 190....check it out....so 200 is the tyre for Hayabusa....

you would have to have 5mm clearance between your chain and the tire you run now to have it work. I don't believe that when you measure that you will have enough room. Bigger tires look good but the more your overall rear tire and wheel weighs the slower you bike will run (it takes HP to turn the extra weight). Good luck and if you do try it please post pictures and your oppinion on how you like it.
