240 swingarm

has anyone sent in their swingarm for $+exchange to get a 240/extended swingarm, if so i'd like to know prices and where it was done, my buddie from work said he sent his to some shop in cali and it was a little less then $1000 but, i want mine raw (his is chrome) and only have about $1000 to spend for the swingarm, chain, etc. i have additional money for the tire and rim, also he didn't mention anything about having an extended brake kit, will need this?

Good questions. I just got back from Daytona and possibly interested in the same mod.

I'd like to see it done for $1000.... most I've seen are over 2k.
