I'm thinking about adding a 4-8 in adjustable swingarm, primarily for looks since i'm thinking of doing a few shows next year. But I'm curios as to how it will affect the touring aspects of the bike? I know it'll affect my cornering, but i figure i can bring it in to 4 inches when i'm gonna hit the twisties.

Ok techs give me some feedback.... before i plan on dropping the cash

Thanks

Umm...what kinda twisties are you talking of? Big swooping twisties or knee dragging twisties?

Knee dragging ones will be effected big time. Think compaired to a GSXR 1000. Why is it such a bad mofo? Power/weight ratio and wheelbase. And why can majority of the smaller bikes beat out 2 strokes beat 1000's/R1's/R6's they have even lighter and a shorter wheelbase.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but I see it all the time on the north end of the island (Okinawa).

the longer the wheelbase, the more stable the bike is. Hence, it will be harder to throw the bike into sharp corners fast. That's why all race bikes have very short wheelbases. But for the common joe, little performance in twisty lost compared to most awesome looks. DO IT, oh yeah
