earl, smart choice on the gear selection.
if you go to the track let me know how many rpm's your running when you go through the traps in 4th gear?

I made a very good change last weekend. I put a 42 tooth rear sprocket on the bus. I am amazed at the difference!!! More acceleration everywhere and no loss in driveability. I think this is the best single change we can make to the bus. I bought a new ek chain ($170!!) but after I cut it to fit, I found I wound up with the same 112 links as in the stock. The wheel is a little closer to the front, but 114 put the wheel to far back for good adjustment. So bottom line---the stock chain will work with this setup.
