49 state model???

Hi my name is Bob and I am going to buy one of these BADASS bikes real SOON.
I do have a question, dos this bike come in a 49 state model??? The Suzuki site says the CA model has a lower fuel capacity so I am guessing there is a difference. I live in Mesa AZ and there is only one bike here in the Phoenix area and it is the wrong color for me not only that, I think I can get a better deal out of town, also it would be terrible if I had to ride it 1000 miles to get it home lol.

I am riding an old like me 86 FJ1200 pumped with lots of mods and it is time for something new.

you can get a much better deal out of this town trust me i refuse to deal with our local dealers all except one apache but they are all sold out so try new mexico you will have a better chance there then here as far as price goes
just go to suzukis web site and do a dealer search for NM

It took me some time to find out but California Models have a leaner map in the ECU (solve that with a PC3R) and a Carbon Cannister for gasoline fumes (hence the slightly smaller tank). Other than that they are all the same, no matter by 2006 they will all be California Models. Try Bob Gregor at LACycle Sports for about the best legit deal West of the Mississippi.....

sorry but the only difference between a 48 state model and a Ca model is the carchoal canister and the one extra pipe in the fuel tank, HP and Torque are the same

There are a lot of different views about this. I can only tell you what I got. I bought a 49-state model 2002 busa. It doesn't have the pair valve, it has a block-off plate. Some guys say their 2002 busa 49 state models do have a pair valve, I can only suggest that they got a CA model in a different state. 49-state models have cleaner exhaust which has to affect the hp.
