Hey guys. I was just wondering if anyone has a 5000k system on their busa? I'm about to get an HID kit and am trying to decide what I want. I want a kit that emits white light with a slight blue hue to it. A friend of mine has a 6000k kit on his mustang and it looks pure blue, so if the McCulloch system is the same way I don't want the 6000k. Can anyone help me out? Does anyone have a 5000k McCulloch system, or seen one on someone else's bike? Thanks for the help.

Are you sure it's 6k I had a 6k and it had a bluish color but still emited a super bright light. Sounds like he had a 12 or 14k.

I have the 6000k HID and it is a little bluish , but it does put out alot of light. I love the look of the 6000k HID KIT!

I know it still puts out a lot of light. But it's too much blue for my taste. And yes, I'm sure he has the 6000k. He wanted 4300k, but they didn't have any in stock and it was gonna be a while before they had some. The place he got them from didn't have 5000k, so he got the 6000k. I do a lot of curvey back road riding and want ALMOST pure white with a very slight bluish hue to it.

xenon king web site quotes : 6000K has an approximately 2800lm output, which is 3x the light output of the traditional halogen light and slightly less light output compared to the 5000K. Although it has a bit lesser light output, it emits pure whiter light with very slight and barely noticeable tint of blue.

5000K has an approximately 3200lm output, which is more than 3x the light output of the traditional halogen light and is the color temperature with the most output. The light appears fairly white, and has light yellowish hue when reflected off the road identical to the OEM HID equipped vehicles. This color is for customers who are looking for pure performance while improving the looks of their headlight. It is ideal for customers who do a lot of back road or canyon driving and need the optimal visibility these HID's provide

I've read everything on the site about what it looks like and what it emits and all that. The reason I was wanting people that have them to post what they've experianced is that most of the time what they say on the site isn't the same as the actual product. That's why I was curious. I also didn't know if different HID kits have different specs. I know they're probably not supposed to, but I'm pretty sure that's the way it is.

Then 6K is what you want.

The 5k has the most useable light. I have had one for 4 years. Contact xenon king. I bought mine there. Bright white, no blue tint.

I had a 6000 setup, although it was brite it did not lite up the night like I wanted. Also the 6000 made the signs look funny at night.I got some 4300 when they came they were 3000.The 3000's are real yellow like halogen but a big improvement over the 6000's.When the 4300's showed up they are beter than the 3000's like day light. The 4300's will lite the roadsigns in the day time, any time in the day. Best thing I have done to the bike.
