60\" Wheelbase \"SUPER STREET\" New Class!!!

I have been waiting for this class since they started the Super Streetbike / Unlimited stuff! I used to run a stock wheelbase '93 1100 with a draw through system on it. Best time was 9.30 @ 157 foot shifting. HRC Stage I system for the Busa being manufactured as we speak. This time I have a air shifter and about 75 more HP! Where will this race take place and under what sanction?
Glad to see this happening!!

Sounds like a race for the Green Hornet.... although the 3000 miles to get there would suck!

Jason, what e.t. would you guess it would take to win?

Attention 60" wheelbase bikes!!!!

WHO HAS THE BADDEST REAL STREETBIKE?
NEW CLASS ANNOUNCED!!!

A new class "Super Street" has been created for the Superbike Showdown Series. This new class is designed for most modern sportbikes to compete in heads-up, pro-tree action. The class is ideal for ZX-9’s, R1’s, Hayabusa’s, ZX-12’s, GSXR’s, Blackbird’s and CBR 929’s.
"Super Street" will debut on September 17th, 2000 at the Superbike Showdown Finals. Class participation and interest on September 17th, 2000 will determine if class will be run in 2001 Superbike Showdown Series! So, if you would like to see the class run next year, we need as many of you to enter the class as possible so we can see if there is any interest. Then you will have all winter to set up your bike properly for class if you are not running fast enough. If class is run for 2001, purse and entry fees will depend on sponsor support.

· The entry fee on September 17th, 2000 will be $40.
· The purse will be Winner-Take-All with a 75% payback.

Rules for class:

Heads-up, Pro Tree, First to Finish, No breakout.

NOS and/or Turbo allowed. Motor modifications allowed.

16 Bike field, run on Pro Ladder, DOT tires only

No wheelie bars allowed, 60" wheelbase max, 2" ground clearance.

Headlights, brakelights, cooling & charging systems required.

I'm there! I'll believe the 8.90 when I see it.. remember, 2" clearance! I'll go out on a limb and say i think Jason will have the class covered with his 9.28 stock motored busa at the first race...after that, all hell will break loose over the winter with people gunning for the title. This class will rule! I also think a mid 9 second pass will be very competitive, as it will be real easy for a 60" low 9 second bike on a pro tree blow the tire away or wheelie, and he's right back in the mid 9's!!! (at least i HOPE a mid 9 will be competitive at the first race!)

Daddy you will see the 8.9 when the race happens. I have not seen the bike go slower than 9.3 ever dumping the gas. And yes the bike will clear the 2 inch rule. This is not even an 1100 frame it is a 750 with the 1100 arm.

ok that sucks..hey listen, you could have said "yea daddy i agree with you, a 9.5 will be competitive" and kept me thinking that us 9.60 guys had a chance, but noooooo.....anyway, i look forward to seeing a good turnout for the class so it will be there next year to run... my hopeful mid 9 may not be competitive for the win, but i'll still have fun TREEING THE CRAP OUT OF EVERYONE!!! BRING IT ON!!!!THE KING OF THE PRO TREE IS RIGHT HERE WAITING! THEY CALL ME THE .400 KID! (actually never ran a pro tree, but thats besides the point.)

and that new mickey MCR2 should be worth another tenth........HELL IM ALREADY RUNNING 9.1's and ive never even ran a 9.50!

The race will take place at Maryland International Raceway under the "Superbike Showdwon Series" on Sunday, September 17th, 2000. We get over 300 bikes at every event in the bracket classes. For other classes, rules, hotels, map, directions, phone numbers, etc.

Coby Adams bike went 8.80s at 60". But that bike is not around anymore. I feel that low 9s and high 8's are what the fast guys will run! I need a good number of people to show up on that race so we can have that clas for next year! Even if you feel you cannot win, you should run class so we can have it next year and then you will have all winter to set up your bike for it!

I know of a 58 1/2 inch GSXR going 8.9 @ 158 normally aspirated that will show. It is not mine but this is a class this person is waiting for.

Daddy tune the NOS right and you will get more than 3 tenths. Hell it will probably be an NOS bike that wins it. And I think a 9.5 pass will be right up there. I just know there are some pretty consistent riders out there also.
