600 arm on hayabusa

They work good, but you'll need the pivot from a 600 to bolt the arm on.

i have one on mine, and its about 15 lbs lighter and it looks rather cool, and also you need to get the chain gaurd for a 600 or drill holes for yours.

Welcome to the board! I have a Thompsons 3-9 underbraced 600 arm. I will have it put on by Goldenchild in July. If you want info then I will let you know . I like the arm and can't wait to put it on.

Also like NJ said , you need to get a pivot arm for a 600 arm to move the shock forward. I got one on e-bay for a couple bucks.

you can get any year modle, they are the same swingarm, minus the big box on the busa arm. you just have to get the pivot arm for the shock. also the rubber part on the swingarm for the chain to keep it from slapping the arm, youll need one for the 600.

I asked Thompsons what year of arm they used . It might be different when you get yours . You could always ask the dealer what years are different also. I think mine came off an 01.

Any year of the SRAD'S, are the wright arms!

What benefits are gained from running the 600 swing-arm? Can someone post a few pictures of the mod, and also comment on any differences the new 600 made over the stock busa arm.

Somebody have a pic or something to show what he's asking? do you want a Gsxr600 swingarm for the busa? If so - why? Does it make the bike handle different? better? lighter?

I believe the only reason to go with the 600 arm is because it doesn't have the box on top. Then guys underbrace them and extend them. It would cost more to do that to a Busa arm because you'd have to pay someone to cut off the box on top and refinish the arm. The box interferes with stuff when you wanna slam your bike down in the weeds. So basically you get more clearance with the 600 arm, not to mention it's lighter. I think a lot of the true aftermarket arms are a lot like the 600 arm rather than the busa arm.

It gives you a shorter wheelbase,, if set up correctly, you gave a much more nimble bike. You need to take into concideration, however the busa's horsepower also! The bike will become more of a wheelie monster than it all ready is!
