65 lb springs on gen 2

I've been reading about cam and bucket wear when running 65# valve springs on the street. I am curious if anyone can tell me about their experience and how many miles they ride a year.
I was told to run high zinc oil and increase the idle to 1800 and i would be fine, but i ride about 3000 per year and just a little concerned.

Why are you running heavy springs? built motor?

I bought a head and can package to go on a 1441 build.
The springs are just what was provided with the head from the porter. Cams are 425

Def need the springs.. Im sure some of the other builders will chime in here but I'm sure there wont be any issues with it. Can you provide any links to cam bucket wear? been doing busa stuff for a few years now but I have never ran across anybody talking about the buckets wearing out.

Yes, you want to run an oil that is high in ZDDP like Redline or Motul; and yes, you want the bike to idle higher than
normal, but 1500 rpm will do it. Having the bike "lumping" at 800 rpm sounds mean, but the low pressure will wipe out
the cams lobes in about 2,000 miles. Ask me how I know . . .

Frank - are you referring to low oil pressure? What would you recommend for an idle oil pressure... for those of use that have actual pressure gauges and data loggers..

would the ape 47lb spring be better and still control the valve at rpm?
