So our trip this past weekend was to the Devils Triangle, The Dragon and the Moonshiner 28. They are all nice roads to visit if you like to corner. The trip ended up being 730.2 miles. This was my first time ever camping in a tent and a sleeping bag. I have to say as long as the camp site has showers I like it, the first night we had no showers. I did a wash off in McDonald's restroom but it wasn't the same lol.
We headed out Friday around 5:00 and our camp site was half way through the Devils Triangle. I do not recommend riding this road at night. We got there around 10:30, the guy came out saying he had given up on us and put all the beer up, but it was no trouble to bring it all back out. Said he had all the beer and pot we could want just ask, he sounded like he had drunk all the beer already. So we pitched our tents and everyone put in their beer and water orders and we sat around a fire beside a river talking for a couple hours before going to bed.
The next morning we woke up to thick thick fog and still had to finish the Devils Triangle, again not fun. Its appropriately named lol. We met up with a guy on a Rune who didn't want to camp so he just met us and rode with us Saturday and went back home. If you have never seen a Valkyrie Rune you should look them up they are very nice bikes IMO. But rare and expensive. After breakfast we headed to the Dragon.
After the Dragon we headed down the Moonshiner 28 and somehow ended up at Skeenah Creek campground. This place was very nice and the Skeenah Creek Mill is one of the oldest still around, the owner said it was built in the 1880's I think. It does not work but it looks like it has all the parts needed he just needs to put them back together.
All in all it was a good trip, everyone had a safe trip with no tip overs. I would do it again, but I will have to make sure there are showers at the campsites lol.
