my buddy has an 08 black busa he bought brand new with yosh r77 stainless full exhaust/pc3 and he's been wanting to sell it. About 3500 miles and he's always run full synthetic. Never been dropped and no damage at all. He's gonna put it on craigslist for $8500, i think it might be a bit much, what do u guys think

It's worth whatever he can get somebody to pay for it. Find a guy that doesn't know any better and it's worth 10K.

I have seen 3 Gen II's listed for sale in the CLASSIFIEDS here for under $8K. When I was shopping for mine earlier this year, $8500 was around the average price (always more expensive here in SoCal). If your friend will list nationwide and will consider helping to ship the bike, he will get $8500 for it.

we'll wait and see what happens, maybe he will actually get $8500 for it. He's ridden it maybe 500 miles tops in the past 2 years. We used to ride together pretty often, but he's just not into it anymore. Bought my busa about a year and a half after he bought his and i've about doubled him in mileage, and i don't ride nearly as much as i'd like to

The price isn't totally off base. I bought mine in May for $8200 stock w/1000 miles. It all depends on the market in your area as prices vary from place to place.

I paid $8250 for a 2008 orange/black with 7K miles about 6 months ago. The bike was immaculate and looked like the guy had cleaned it with a tooth brush on a daily basis.

He will get $8500 for it no problem in my opinion.

I love that someone said 08 black rare color. Thanks. I agree. I had choice between the black or the orange peel. I went with the black because i knew every tom **** and harry would want orange peel and honestly i like the black better. I would ask 10 for mine with 20,000 miles on it. Bunch of mods and looks better then when i bought it. Clean as hell and all service records with full synthetic..but i wouldnt sell mine

Paid $8500 for mine almost 2 months ago with 2800 miles on it. It had a few chrome pieces he added that I've since taken off.

I paid $7400 for my wife's Blue '08 (used with 700 miles, dual slip on Brocks, lowered, New Image Seats) and $9000 for mine (left over new one) in March of this year...

Let's put it this way, Suggested retail is $8955. If you don't buy it for that price I am POSITIVE he will get it from someone else. Now, if he's a good friend you may be able to get him a bit lower than $8500. Just don't go too low and insult him. Could you get one cheaper, Hell Yea! If you know how your buddy treats his bike, and it's well, then you know your getting a solid used bike. My buddy drove 15 hours to get a bike that supposably had never been dropped from a guy on Craigslist, and when he got there it had a rattle can paint job and scuffs all over the case covers. The bike was missing internal plastics (up by the gauges) and in the end, found out it had bent forks. So sometimes you can pay a little more for piece of mind. Do I think your buddy is offering up a good price? YES I DO!! Just my oppinion!

I do alot of buying and selling and use KBB for everything. I think it is a better site than NADA. I have gotten some pretty funny prices from NADA. Here is the link to a 2008 Hayabusa on KBB. Hope it helps!

Oh, and I paid $8900 for my 2007 new as a left over in 2008, Out the door. No tax because it was a different state.

I still don't think that that is too bad of a deal for a 2008, (GEN II of course) used.

I'd say PULL THE TRIGGER!!!

:beerchug: Again

i myself am not buying the bike, already have an 08 orange/black that i would never sell. Just asking to see what u guys thought about the price he was asking. I actually thought for a second about buying it just to have 2 busa's. I could turn it into a cruiser with the corbin beetle bags and other luggage goodies and then keep mine for a normal street bike. Wife didn't really like that idea though:rofl:
