I have heard tale of guys using 99-2000 ecus on later model busas.Anybody else heard such a thing?

'99-'01 Busa's use a 16 bit ECU
'02-'07 Busa's use a 32 bit ECU

Gen2 '08-'09 are different

None of them are a straight swap...you will need the wire harness and will still have to do some mods to the wiring.

Using up 99-00 ecus on stock bikes that otherwise are paper weights. Sell off the late model stuff that brings money. I already converted my streetbike to the 01 ecu and rotor,bike never knew the difference.

Then why did you ask if it could be done if you already have???

I said I did the 01 swap,not the 99-00 swap,so no,I have not done it. ???

My bad. I've got an 00 model bike but I think I'll be keeping my ecu.
