99-2000 fuel pump upgrade to 01 + internal pump

Hi guys,

This is more of a downgrade than an upgrade in my case but the infoI need is the same.

I know a lot of people did this upgrade and i just have a simple question. I got an 03 busa that i wanna trade for a 2000 with a blown motor + cash. The guy with the 2000 wants to keep his fairing set for the 03. That means he's gonna keep his tank and external pump. He will need to connect the 2000 pump to the 03 motor. Is this just plug and play or is there other stuff that needs to be changed as well?

I believe there's a fitting i need to swap on the throttle bodies?

Ecm or wiring wise, any modifications required?

Thanks

When I swapped my 2000, I bought the pump, o-ring, bolts, fuel rail and tank.

The fuel rail fitting needs changed, and he will have to re-wire the pump, since the connectors are different.

I plan on just swapping the fuel rail from the 2000 onto the 2003. The wiring is the only thing that I wanted to get info on. Is it pretty straight forward? I assume I just need to take the 2 wires on the 4pin connector and just split them and solder them to the 2, stock 2 pin connectors I'm gonna cut off the 2000 harness and it's plug and play from there?
