99 Tank Swap to a 02 Busa

I searched to see if anyone had asked about this before and did not find any information about it. I have a 02 black & blue busa that I have swapped the plastics over to the 99 copper and silver. I have the 99 tank and was wondering if anyone sells an adapter to install the internal fuel pump in the older tank. the opening is smaller and I didn't know if it would even be possible. Or would it just be better to have a newer tank painted?

I know you have install the internal tank, but I'm not sure what it would take.

I have never heard of an adapter, most folks just get another tank.
