how do you do it?? just recently been looking around. seems like the gauges are used for everything, cars and all. so they don't really say much about how to get it working on a hayabusa.

what all do you need, what all is involved, and what's a ballpark price on the whole thing?

also, anyone know of a small, digital a/f gauge like something in the picture?

edit: and i'm feeling like it just makes more sense to go w/fuel pressure & boost instead ??

A/F is the "real" way to go - but you do add expense, complexity and another distraction that takes your eyes off the road. If your just going to ride a simple stage 1 with low boost then fuel & boost is pretty good to have.

They run a couple hundred dollars, you have to drill into the exhaust pipe, weld a bung for the sensor, power the unit, and mount it somewhere where you can see it.

BTW I don't have a A/F gage but it would be nice.

ngk powerdex is a digital display, but the box must be mounted somewhere. what about an aem wideband?

mega: so can you still use it if you have short dump pipes?

ogre: i'm really naive when it comes to this stuff.. i'll look into the wideband but i hadn't thought of that before. wideband 02 sensor right??

Yup, many do. But you need to mount it as close to the turbine (as far away from the dump outlet so the air does not confuse the reading.

A wideband 02 sensor is part of the A/F gage. The gage displays what the 02 sensor is sniffing.

awe sweet they have a No Weld o2 bung kit

that's it. i believe they have an analog face version as well, if you don't like the blinky lights
