I dropped the bike off at the suzuki shop today. And like I knew, The chain wasnt a warranty item. He said it had just streached too much and snapped. But for 3000 miles he said it takes quite a hard ride to do that. On the good part though suzuki did however pay for the damage it casued. A new tranny cover?( i think it was, its the black cover on the left side that has 1N23456. He asked if i stunt the bike and i said yes. He asked how often and i respended "at every light" He suggested with the chain replacment I go to a heavy duty chain, new sprockets and a new "coosh coosh"

Bearing. I told him about the accident and asked about the alignment. He said it takes quite a hit to knock the alignment out of the rear. But he checked the swingarm and said there was some excessive wear (not to bad but for 3000 miles it was) and said i should look into that soon. He also suggested if i stunt the bike like i do that i look into some leathers, frame savers, 12 oclock bar, a new fearing for the right side, and some actual "INSURANCE". He gave me a number to a good agent. I did call them and they would charge me $2456 a year which is ALOT better than 10,988 a year from progressive.

Just though i would update you to what i was up to.
thanks
Kris

Call State Farm....NOW!

Unless there is something your not telling us...like your driving record. That's your business though, not ours.

Glad you were honest with the dealership. I work on instrumentation/controls/PLC programming at a steam plant, and I can't begin to tell you how many fuggin hours I've spent troubleshooting problems that didn't exist. All because someone didn't want to own up to the fact that THEY screwed it up, and had me and others looking for ghost problems.

Good luck with the bike

That is nuts......I pay $40 a month w/ USAA(full coverage). Thats w/ 3 other vehicles on the policy. I can't believe you pay that much. I'd be riding my mtn bike to work if I had to pay so much.......:( .

Not trying to cause bad Karma or anything. But if your 21 and you are riding the bike like you say you are, you realize it is only a matter of time until something really bad happens right?

I mean I am just presenting you with the facts of something to think about. The way you are riding (your self proclaimed riding habits) Your guarding angel is only going to be with you so long.

You want to know what your stunting is doing? Here you go.

Some people see you pulling a 12 o'clock.

"MANNNN THAT WAS FRICKEN SSCHWEEEEEETTTT!!! DID YOU SEE THAT SHID!!!!!"

"Hey I think we are out of beer, lets make a beer run."

Your glory to fame lasts about 10 seconds in the minds of the people watching, then they are off to other shid.

When you wreck (which you already have and you will again, it is only a matter of time) you could cripple yourself for life.

Have you EVER studied any kinds of martial arts? Do you know anyone who has? If so go as them about death strikes and such. There really is such a thing.

There is a term referred to as "Fluid Dynamics" the term is used in some martial arts to describe a certain way and place to strike people.

Theoretically, since the body is made up of like 60% water:

For reference:

Some organisms are made up of 90 percent water
Human body up 60% water
The human brain is composed of 70% water
Blood is 82% water
Lungs are nearly 90% water

You can strike a person at a specific point on their body, with a precision strike you can cause something like a wave to travel through the body and using that wave have the wave strike an internal organ causing damage.

If done properly, enough wave force can be transmitted to the organ to damage it to the extent that external scarring appears within a few days, if external scarring occurs on an organ it will usually fail, once one organ fails it can cause a cascading affect causing other organs to fail under the additional load.

From time of critical injury until cascading organ failure and death is usually about 2 to 5 days

Why the brief physiological / martial arts lesson? Simple.

No matter how much gear you wear, if you strike an object with your body fast enough, and if you are unlucky enough, the same thing could happen by accident, not to mention other possible scenarios.

The human body is amazingly strong and agile and can often achieve phenomial feats and take alot of blunt trama and physical damage, and at the same time can be extremely fragile
And in an instant, if a certain body part is affected in a certain way, instant death.

Did you ever see the movie Million Dollar Baby? supposed to have been a factual based movie. Check it out.

Why am I taking the time to explain this to you?

I am 43, when I was 21 I had my first motorcycle accident, I hit a school bus at around 70mph, I was lucky, I only spent 5 days in the hospital with broken ribs and internal bleeding. I was showing off for my then girlfriend, who became my wife and who is now my ex wife. To this day she refers to my accident as one of the stupidest things I ever did.

My daughter who is 22 will not get on a motorcycle with me because of what her mom told her about me and motorcycles back in the day.

I have had friends killed on motorcycles.

A few months back one of our military personnel was at a private air strip with a bunch of other bikes, a$$in off, he happened to make a slow left turn and some other guy was doing a wheelie down the runway, hit him.

The guy that got hit was impaled on a shifter lever.

Guess what all the people did that they were showing off for? They fricken split before the cops got there. Only like 2 people out of 50 people stuck around to take care of the guy, everyone else was more concerned about them getting in trouble than this guys life.

He died.

The bottom line, no matter what anyone says, when you are out there stunting and doing stuff, yeah, it is cool as shid, and you can get a rep at being one crazy mo fo, and doing shid that is tight a$$.

But when you fug up, aint none of those people going to visit you in the hospital, and very few of them will go to your funeral, and IF you do fug up to that extent, the only thing that will be said about you is "Yeah, that guy was stunting and killed himself, what a shame"

How do I know that? Because I hear it all the time. It is always a shame when someone kills themselves or hurts themselves AFTER the fact, but it is all cool before that.

I wish you the best. And if you keep stunting, which you probably will, at least get some real good gear, back protector, chest protector. And think about getting a lighter bike, something that wont hurt as much if it comes down on top of you.

Again, sorry about sounding like a dad. I aint your dad, and you should probably be glad about that
biggrin.gif
but I am old enough to be your dad, I have kids and damn it would just break my heart of one of my kids were killed at 21 assin off on a bike.
